The Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer Collection Portrays Funky Manga Style

Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere unleashed his inner nerd for the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer '16 collection. This luxurious Spring/Summer lineup hints at anime classics and the digital world.

The first look of the collection -- as seen on a pink-haired Fernanda Ly -- is a pink leather jacket paired with asymmetrical shorts and accessorized with leather gloves and a tiara reminiscent of the one Sailor Moon wears. The anime influences go on to include a visor that mirrors the one Major Motoko Kusanagi wears in 'Ghost in the Shell' as well as Kuusik's red leather coatdress as seen on 'Neon Genesis.'

In addition to the anime influences, the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer '16 collection exhibits cyberpunk style that is most befitting for the Spring/Summer '16 season.
