Bright Showroom Research Libraries

ANY Designs a Retail Space for Streetwear Imprint Vowels

New York studio ANY created the first physical retail location for streetwear imprint Vowels along with a special library measuring 18 meters in length for a rotating capsule of design books. The flagship showroom is appointment-only and located in Manhattan. This is opening in alignment with the launch of the brand's new Made in Japan collection.

The team wanted to create a space that is multi-functional and also displays apparel, hosts events, and offers a space to interact with customers through a curation of books. The team speaks about the selection and the creative process, noting "The curated selection, categorised by the Vowels team of researchers and designers, is organised using a system that follows the letters A, E, I, O, and U. This archive of printed materials is part of Yagi's personal collection, serving as reference and inspiration throughout his career."
