Elisabeth Erm embodies the spirit of 1970's California in Vogue Russia's February 2015 issue.
The California of today is characterized by an incomprehensible highway system, health-conscious yuppies peddling juice cleanses and the Kardashians. But back in the day, California was a place that espoused a doctrine of free love. It was radical and politically-charged, brimming with hippies who campaigned for reproductive rights one day, and got stoned the next. Rock stars, not reality TV celebrities, ruled supreme, and the music scene was crawling with groupies eager to share their love with the band.
Everything about this shoot, from the styling by fashion editor Camilla Pole, to the hair and makeup by Dennis Lanni and Chiho Omae, hearkens back to California's golden age.
