Blonde Power Couple Editorials

Ymre Stiekema and Jorge Pla Star in Vogue Netherlands June 2014

Jorge Pla and Ymre Stiekema make quite a pair in the ‘Black Body’ editorial for Vogue Netherlands’ June 2014 issue.

There’s a theory that states that couples who date for long enough begin to resemble one other. This definitely seems to be the case for Pla and Stiekema, who both sport identical, long blonde manes. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, after all. Hair stylist Karim Bleghiran got creative by plaiting the duo’s hair together for one shot—talk about separation anxiety. Makeup artist Sonia Peña finished off the look by contouring with bronzer.

Meanwhile, fashion editor Saskia van Langevelde dressed the pair in matching black body suits and underwear for continuity purposes. The Black Body editorial was lensed by talented photographer Nico Bustos.
