Vitaly Sokolovsky Captures the Rhythm of Dance in Russia's Streets

The Russian-based commercial photographer Vitaly Sokolovsky traveled around to different cities and countries to captures the beautiful and electrifying movements of dancers. The series titled 'Dance-Petersburg' is composed of fantastic shots of acrobats showing their best moves.

Sokolovsky's subjects were photographed in different places while doing a variety of dances, from ballet to tango. Most of the images are full of rhythm and movement because most of the artists were caught in the air while making stunning leaks or poses. Moreover, they are the main subjects of the frames as the background landscapes are usually out of focus. This technique centers the attention to dancer while give an idea to audiences of the magnificent setting.

Vitaly Sokolovsky is based in Saint Petersburg, but he's traveled to places like Europe and Unites States to explore bodies in movement.
