Visa's 'Tooth Fairy Application' for smartphones caters to a technologically-savvy group of children and parents. Those who download the tool receive data on the going rate for teeth, to be dispensed in secrecy by the tooth fairy of course.
Surveys measured by the Visa conglomerated determined the average price of baby teeth based on parent's gender, educational background, residence, age and income bracket. This information is in turn relayed to users of the Tooth Fairy Application, allowing them to predict the amount of money that will likely be placed beneath pillows.
According to the research, each tooth is valued at approximately $3 in the U.S. Interestingly enough, the studies reveal that wealthier parents tend to stick to rates that fall below the average.
