Photographer Robbie Augspurger takes glamorous, vintage headshots that look like they've come straight out of the 1970s.

The 70s marked an era of change. The Vietnam war ended. The feminist movement grew wings and took flight. The environment and civil rights became widely contested issues. Stevie Wonder, Carole King and the Jackson 5 were making music. All in all, it seemed like a very promising time to be alive.

Augspurger's photographs are a literal embodiment of the decade. Everything is there, from the fringed bangs to the oversized tortoiseshell glasses (now appropriated by hipsters everywhere), vacant expressions and nebulous backgrounds. Augspurger takes retro photography to the next level; he recreates the style and vibe of the 70s in a way that your Instagram filters could never capture.
