Surreal Victorian-Inspired Fashion

'Last of the Few' Showcases Eerily Aristocratic Floral Fashion

'Last of the Few,' the new editorial for Out of Order Magazine, displays some absolutely striking and eerie Victorian-inspired fashion styles, modeled by effervescent model Justyna Gustak.

Each outfit featured in this editorial consists of a long dress that brushes the ground, made up of soft and flowing fabrics. Some of these ensembles also feature busy and bold floral prints, making them both eye-catching and feminine. To accent the flowing bodies of these garments, photographer Amira Fritz employed long exposure photography. In this way, Fritz captured Gustak's movements throughout several shots, then superimposed these shots over top of one another to create a surreal sense of fluid motion and otherworldliness.

Gustak's languid poses also add to this fluid feeling, giving her an indifferent, aristocratic attitude to complement her elegant ensembles. By remaining relaxed throughout each shot, Gustak makes the long exposure shots appear to have been created through some means other than technology, almost as if their surreal feel was unintentional.

With this editorial, Out of Order has proven that even fashion styles as old as the Victorian era can be modernized to become a unique a visually striking contemporary style.
