These VIA Agency images come of the Portland-based marketing and advertising firm. The company put together these surreal snapshots in the image of Japenese schoolgirls who performed superhuman acts, mimicking sets seen in cartoon shows like Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z.
Judi Cutrone, a VIA Agency representative, put together this project as a thank you to the sources of inspiration that they based this series on.
A central figure is placed in the middle of a semi-circle in the pictures. Several individuals then jut out on each side, making it appear as if magical powers are at work. One of the photos features Carl Kasell, an NPR newscaster and member of the show 'Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!'
