Just Veg! Vegan Ohney has been created in partnership between US-based MeliBio and Narayan Foods as a bee-free honey alternative perfect for consumers to try out this year. The plant-based honey will make its debut at ALDI-owned Hofer locations in Europe with stores in Austria and Switzerland getting it first before a wider expansion. The product achieved using a precision type of fermentation along with plant science to achieve something that is identical in terms of taste and texture to conventional honey.
CEO and Co-Founder Darko Mandich spoke on the Just Veg! Vegan Ohney saying, "We’ve been overwhelmed by the demand from customers all over the world for our sustainable, bee-friendly products, and we’re glad that working with ALDI will enable European consumers to enjoy what is truly the best honey available on the market.”
