'Valheim' is Coming to All PS5 Consoles in 2026

Valheim is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 in 2026, concluding years of platform speculation, though an exact release date has not been announced. The PS5 edition will support full crossplay with existing Xbox and PC versions, enabling uninterrupted cooperative and competitive sessions across platforms. Development of the port is being handled by Piktiv—a studio that frequently collaborates with Iron Gate AB—so that Iron Gate’s core team can continue focusing on major updates and downloadable content releases.
Since its early access debut on Steam in February 2021, Valheim has attracted a large player base with its Norse mythology–inspired survival gameplay, which emphasizes resource gathering, base construction, exploration, and boss encounters. The title officially launched on Xbox Series X/S in 2023, and no plans have been announced for a Nintendo Switch 2 version. Concurrently, Iron Gate has teased the Deep North expansion, which will introduce a new biome and further extend the game’s content offerings.
