Burger-Inspired Burritos

The Cafe Rio Utah Handheld Burrito is Served with Fry Sauce

The Cafe Rio Utah Handheld Burrito has been developed by the modern Mexican cuisine brand as a regionally exclusive menu item that embraces a familiar format with new ingredients and state-inspired additions. The burrito is only available at participating locations in Utah and starts off with a scratch-made tortilla that's filled with seasoned ground beed, chili lime fries, pickled pico de gallo, secret burger sauce, lettuce and a cheese blend. The burger-like burrito comes served with a side of Fry Sauce as a take on the staple Utah condiment and is priced at under $10 to position it effectively for cost-conscious consumers.

Chief Executive Officer Mike Burns commented on the Cafe Rio Utah Handheld Burrito saying, "The best burger in Utah is now a burrito, and that’s exactly the kind of unexpected, craveable innovation we’re bringing to Cafe Rio. Sauce isn’t just a side at Cafe Rio, it’s part of our DNA and we’ve built our reputation on bold flavors, so when we decided to take on Utah’s beloved Fry Sauce, we knew we had to do it our way."
