Urban Climate Architect is an educational and environmental video game that is designed to teach children about climate change in an interactive manner. Developed by CliSAP (or the Cluster of Excellence Integrated Climate System Analysis and Prediction), the game allows players to create their own city and try to protect the climate too. With a goal of teaching players about equipping cities to cope with the effects of climate change, Urban Climate Architect incorporates elements of city planning as well.
The game combines expertise from business, natural and social science departments at Universität Hamburg in Germany as well as the German Climate Computing Center, the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht and the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology.
