Filipino fashion designer Kermit Tesoro is well known for his unusual high heels. He first captured the attention of the public and celebrities, with his scary, skull-inspired stilettos. Now the designer has produced a new pair of high heels that draw inspiration from an unusual sea creature.
Tesoro's latest design features a pair of aqua blue high heels that appear to be made entirely of tentacles that wrap around each foot. The shoes are extremely detailed and show every aspect of the tentacles, including the powerful suckers. While an octopus may seem like a strange source of inspiration for a pair of shoes, Tesoro explains that he has always been inspired by unusual subjects. He describes his creations as "a fashion interpretation of the biological or psychological deviation of a person."
While these unusual high heels may not be the most practical form of footwear, they are certainly a fascinating piece of wearable art.
