Reebok and Maison Margiela Create a Unique Hybrid Shoe Design

Luxury fashion house Maison Margiela works in collaboration with sportswear brand Reebok on a pair of unique hybrid shoes. The design made its debut during the Spring/Summer 2020 Artisanal show, tapping into components from iconic footwear by both brands.
The Tabi split-toe design is informed on the Instapump Fury by Reebok, explained by the fashion house that it is a statement shoe designed for the age of the cyber-industrial revolution. The pump tooling technology by the sportswear brand was originally developed in 1989 so that athletes are able to manually adjust the fit of the shoe.
