MM6 Maison Margiela continues to grow its collaborative work alongside Salomon as it takes a swing at the X-Alp shoe. The silhouette draws various influences as it taps into past eras whilst delivering a look that is progressively futuristic. It is joining the fashion house's Spring/Summer 0225 series and the shoe follows the previous design of the XT-4, which had a mule structure.
The new shoes are paired perfectly with a slouched pant silhouette. Dubbed the Salomon Spectur 2 MM6, the knitted silhouette is designed with a "special coating designed to age and crack over time," as noted in a press release. The fashion house is no stranger to the cracked wear paint technique and it is set to launch in early 2025.
