Women-Empowering Wine Brands

Une Femme Collaborates with Women Across the Supply Chain

Une Femme is a new wine brand founded by Jen Pelka—who also founded San Francisco Champagne bar The Riddler—that's centered on celebrating women at all levels. The wine brand is named after women and works with women across the supply chain, including winemakers Gonet-Médeville and POE Wines and distributor Martine’s Wines. As Pelka told Food & Wine, "While there is still so much change needed in the wine world to reach gender parity, we believe that voting with your wallet matters."

As it stands, Une Femme makes two kinds of wines, The Juliette, which takes the form of a Premier Cru Champagne, and The Callie, a sparkling California rosé, both of which launched in early 2020.

In the future, there are more bottles to be released and Pelka already has her eyes on the community of women winemakers in Burgundy.
