The Silicon Valley startup Unanimous AI is using its technology to predict the outcome of the Major League Baseball season. In order to predict the season, Unanimous AI compiled 50 MLB fans and connected the individuals to the Swarm AI platform.
The platform enables the 50 fans to combine their knowledge, allowing the company the ability to predict the outcome of events better than any one individual. When individuals use the Swarm AI platform they are asked questions and then answer by moving a cursor toward a corresponding answer.
The company has a history of predicting the outcomes of different events. In 2016 the company was able to predict 11 out of the 15 total Academy Award recipients. Additionally, in 2017 the company was able to predict the top four finishers of the Kentucky Derby.
