NVIDIA Has Unveiled the 'RTX 3050' Budget-Friendly Graphics Card

NVIDIA has announced the newest card in its RTX 3000 series line, the RTX 3050. The 3050 is slated as a more affordable graphics card for modern gamers who do not feel they need to reach resolutions higher than 1080p, or framerates higher than 60 fps. This card retails for an MSRP of $250, which makes it price comparable to AMD's recently released RX 6500 XT.
However, the 3050 is far more powerful for its price tag. This card boasts 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, 2,560 CUDA cores, a boost clock speed of 1,777 MHz, and full support for ray-tracing and DLSS technology from NVIDIA. With these specifications, even gamers on a budget will be able to play their game of choice on a pretty smooth framerate, assuming they can find an RTX 3050 in-stock for MSRP, which will be quite difficult given the current chip shortage.
