Converse prepares for the warmer seasons ahead with the latest iteration of the signature Chuck 70 Low sneaker in a 'Tropical Shirt' design. To make the design possible, the brand works in collaboration with Beyond Retro. It is a vintage clothing brand that is located in both the UK and Sweden.
It sourced worn Hawaiian shirts from America to create the sneakers. To create the collection of the Chuck 70s, about 7,000 tropical shirts were gathered from landfills and given new life. This makes each pair unique to its own, with its own patterning and distinct textural design. Notably, the medial sides of the shoe are detailed with maroon and leafy green graphics, whereas the material sides are brighter.
