I was really taken with these Chooka Women’s Koi & Tattoo Rainboots. Their discovery set me off on a search that led to nine more awesome examples, which I've added to the gallery above.
Once the footwear of farmers, rainboots are now stocked and designed widely by labels from Prada to Dolce & Gabanna, with Marc Jacobs totally reinventing the style. Wellington Boots, as we call them in the UK, are also the unofficial footwear worn at outdoor UK festivals. Don't limit yourself to festivals though; what is there not to love about the white Burberry rain boots?
Rainboots make a lot of sense, but in general are as ugly as hell. Thankfully, this selection means you can stay dry and look cool at the same time.
