The TremorSafe Pill Dispenser is an innovative pill bottle designed for those with Parkison's disease. People with Parkinson's often struggle with tremors -- an involuntarily shaking of the body -- making it difficult for them to open bottles and handle small pills.
The new accessible bottle design was crowdsourced through TikTok after a popular poster on the app, Jimmy Choi, posted a video of himself struggling to open a bottle with shaking hands due to Parkinson's. From here, an engineer and TikTok user named Brian Alldridge saw the video and began working on an accessible solution to help people with tremors and other motor disorders. Alldridge ended up connecting with another TikTok user specializing in 3D technology, and together they began producing the world's first 3D-printed tremor-safe pill bottle.
