The 'Trash the Dress' Photos Feel Serene and Spiritual

The 'Trash the Dress' photos by photographer Courtney Venus are taken in a cave-like dwelling located in the Riviera Maya. The bride is seen soaking everything from her dress to her head in the cool glassy waters.

The unconventional wedding photos are taken in order to destroy the idea that the wedding dress must be kept crinkle-free and pristine throughout the ceremony. 'Trash the Dress' photos allow the model to dunk her gown into the water if she pleases, and swim with the dress floating behind her. The photos reveal rocky waters with small minnows that swim past the bride's feet.

The bride embraces the water-filled environment with her wedding dress on and looks up at the camera with a serene gaze. The photo shoot gives a new perspective as to how wedding photos should and shouldn't look as the bride wears her dress where she feels.
