Intel and Tile Collaborated on Tracking Capabilities

Tile and Intel are collaborating in order to integrate tracking capabilities into computers. Tile also indicated that integrated notebooks from Intel will even be able to locate when in sleep mode. The two organizations indicated that integrated tracking capabilities will be added to units this year.

Overall adding in tracking capabilities can be seen as an added value for consumers, especially those who travel a lot. Tracking a computer will ensure that the unit is always in the possession of the rightful owner.

Tile has a history of working with computer companies to integrate trackers. Previously Tile worked with HP to add trackers to ‘Elite Dragonfly’ computers. Users had the ability to open and app that would display the computer's location, additionally users could access the Tile network to locate far away items.
