The Toyota Tacoma Polar Expedition, holder of a world record for fastest overland journey to the South Pole, is up for auction. The vehicle was driven by Jason De Carteret and Kieron Bradley of Thomson Reuters, who used it to cover 1,1114 km in just 39 hours and 54 minutes.
The vehicle is powered by a 4.0 liter TRD supercharged V6 engine capable of producing 380 horsepower, and is sheathed in a NATO Green vinyl wrap over its Graphite interior. It also bears a number of unique modifications which contribute greatly towards the high value of the vehicle.
The Toyota Tacoma Polar Expedition cost $400,00 and countless man-hours of experience to construct. It is set to be sold to the higgest bidder at Russo and Steele's 15th Annual Scottsdale Arizona Auction.
