The Toyota Hilux Tonka Truck Celebrates the Brand's Australian Sales Success

For adults who grew of age ramming toy cars and trucks into the dirt the Toyota Hilux Tonka Truck will be a dream come true. This kid-friendly off-roader was given a serious makeover by Toyota Australia. It has a six-inch lift, new 35-inch tires, axles that ride higher (for improved ground clearance) and a tougher suspension system. The result is a real-life Tonka Truck that can conquer almost any bit of terrain in the world.

The Toyota Hilux Tonka Truck was built to celebrate the Hilux's success in Australia. In 2016 it became the first non-passenger car to earn the title of best-selling vehicle in the country. From the looks of things this unique pickup is just a one-off, although we don't doubt that truck-crazy Aussies would snatch these things up if they were put into production.
