T-Mobile and SpaceX have partnered to offer Coverage Above and Beyond in a bid to provide more consumers in the US with access to 5G connectivity than ever. The partnership will harness the power of SpaceX Starlink Satellites and virtually eliminate the vast areas of land in the US where cell coverage is nonexistent. Starlink will broadcast T-Mobile's mid-band spectrum and greatly expand cell coverage, which is being touted as a true satellite-to-cellular service.

T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert commented on the T-Mobile and SpaceX Coverage Above and Beyond partnership saying, "More than just a groundbreaking alliance, this represents two industry-shaking innovators challenging the old ways of doing things to create something entirely new that will further connect customers and scare competitors.”
