At its inaugural Product Keynote, Tinder unveiled Tinder Events, a new in-app feature that helps singles take connections sparked online, offline. “What we’re hearing from Gen Z is that they want connection to feel more natural, more social, and less like a formal first date," shared Melissa Hobley, Chief Marketing Officer at Tinder. "Events give them something to do together. It takes the pressure off and puts the focus back on shared energy."
With the new Events tab in the Tinder app, users can browse upcoming local in-person experiences, and photo-verified users can select “Interested” to see who else is interested. From there, users can respond via the official ticketing partner, and look forward to events like beach sports, trivia nights and hands-on activities like ceramics.
Events debuted in Los Angeles, and expansion to additional cities is planned and upcoming.
