Shifting Hydration Cup Concepts

The Conceptual Tilting Water Cup Encourages Regular Sipping

There are a variety of methods for encouraging consistent hydration, but this conceptual tilting water cup takes things in a decidedly different direction to help create a sense of urgency regarding regular sipping.

The cup is designed to sit on a connected bas that will continually track when the person takes a sip and the amount of time the vessel sits undisturbed. The cup will begin to shift in place when left unattended for extended periods until it's eventually on an angle that appears as though it might fall. This will encourage the user to lift it up and take a sip, which uses a psychological process to encourage regular hydration.

The conceptual tilting water cup is the design work of Yuxiong Dong, Yaoxin Cai, Yongde Zhu and Kang Han.
