Nike has announced that its popular offroad running shoe, the 'Free Run Trail,' will be getting a seasonal update in the form of a brand new 'Thunder Blue' colorway. Rustic and earthy, the 'Thunder Blue' version will join Nike's other hiking-inspired 'Free Run Trail' models such as the 'Dark Riftwood' and 'Black/Anthracite.'
Ready for cold weather, this updated sneaker features a double-layered upper construction, with a 'Cinnabar' mesh and ripstop base, dressed atop a 'Thunder Blue' suede sheath. The suede material features diamond-shaped cut-outs and is adorned with an embroidered, rust-colored Swoosh.
The shoe's tongues are knit directly into its collar, providing users a snug, sock-like fit. Even the insoles present a subtle and stylish pattern: a two-tone topographical map. Meanwhile, tan laces work to tie together the entire silhouette by matching with the shoe's rubber tan midsoles.
