CooperVision is advancing integrated vision research hubs with The Vision Centre, a 9,940-square-meter facility in Southampton, England, that combines research, clinical expertise, pilot manufacturing, and commercial capabilities. The center will use advanced modeling, simulation, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to shorten development cycles and move new eye care products toward commercialization faster. Its pipeline includes six planned contact lens developments spanning myopia control, silicone hydrogel materials, astigmatism, and multifocal vision.
For CooperVision, centralizing previously distinct stages of product development can improve collaboration and accelerate decision-making across its approximately 350-person workforce at the facility. The model also allows products to move more efficiently from scientific development through testing and pilot manufacturing. Bringing customers and industry partners into the same environment can further strengthen practitioner feedback, while the six-product pipeline gives CooperVision multiple opportunities to expand its contact lens portfolio across specialized vision needs.
