Direct Identity Matching Tools

Hightouch Links To The The Trade Desk's Platform

Hightouch launched a direct identity-matching tool that enables advertisers to connect The Trade Desk’s ad exposure data with their own customer records, bypassing third-party identity providers. The product is designed to help advertisers determine which consumers saw, clicked on or converted from ads served through The Trade Desk.

The tool works with campaign data that advertisers already receive from The Trade Desk, including impression, click and conversion reports. Traditionally, these interactions have been tied to anonymized identifiers such as cookies, device IDs or third-party IDs, making it difficult to directly connect ad exposure data with an advertiser’s customer database.

For brands, the tool provides a more direct way to understand which known customers were exposed to advertising campaigns while reducing reliance on external identity providers. The launch reflects a broader shift toward greater use of first-party data and advertiser-controlled measurement practices.

Campaign performance analysis is shifting toward direct access models where advertisers can evaluate impressions, clicks and conversions without depending on opaque intermediaries.
Identity Provider Disintermediation
Reduced reliance on third-party identity vendors signals a new competitive opening for platforms that simplify secure data matching between media networks and enterprise customer databases.
