Cutting-Aid Ruler Tool

The Quiver Clamps Paper and Guides Blade for Straighter Cuts

Quiver is a cutting-aid ruler concept by designer Tunir Maity that holds paper in place and guides a blade along a straight channel to produce more accurate cuts. The tool incorporates a clip mechanism that secures sheets beneath the ruler and a long, straight slit that accepts a utility blade, allowing the user to slide the blade along the channel while the paper remains fixed. Its body is made from anodized aluminum combined with recyclable plastic components designed to withstand repeated use.

The weight distribution of the tool favors the cutting edge to reduce the pressure needed from the user’s hand, and the clip system accommodates multiple sheets at once. A carabiner attachment point lets the tool be clipped to a bag for transport. Marked measurement indicators run along the top edge of the ruler for quick reference during layout and cutting tasks.
