Patta and Nike have been dodging rumors about their new collaboration, and now sneaker fans can rejoice as the official imagery for the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 ‘The Next Wave’ is revealed. The upcoming sneaker takes inspiration from the African proverb “Each One Teach One,” and features a standout design of the signature ‘Wave’ pattern in white on one offering, and 'Dark Russett' on the other. The sneaker itself boasts tones of ‘Dark Russett’ brown leather, ‘Metallic Silver’ mesh, burgundy lining, and light blue accents.
Consumers can spot Nike branding in ‘Dark Russett’ on the Swooshes and tongue tab, and also in white embroidery on the heels. Patta is also launching a two-day mentorship exchange at Nike’s SHAPA Soweto community center in Johannesburg to help foster a global community.
The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 in ‘The Next Wave’ arrives later this year on the former's website.
