Repairable Smartphones

The Fairphone Gen. 6+ Emphasizes Modular Repairs and Long-Term Support

The Fairphone Gen. 6+ is a modular smartphone built with 12 user-replaceable components, including the battery, display, USB-C port and camera modules, allowing most repairs to be completed with a single screwdriver. Powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor with 12GB of RAM, the device features a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 10-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a 4,415mAh removable battery and a 50MP Sony LYTIA main camera with optical image stabilization. Spare parts are guaranteed through 2033, and the phone carries a five-year warranty alongside an iFixit repairability score of 10 out of 10.

The smartphone also introduces Fairphone Moments, a dedicated hardware switch that limits the device to a simplified interface with selected apps. Constructed using 51% fair or recycled materials by weight, the handset incorporates recycled metals, plastics and Fairmined gold while shipping in plastic-free packaging. Fairphone Gen. 6+ is available in Cobalt Blue, Forest Green and Horizon Black for €649 in Europe and $649.99 in the United States.
