Industrial Apparel Editorials

The Daily Street Created an Editorial That Uses Heavy-Duty Props

The Daily Street, a UK streetwear brand, released an editorial that portrays the BEAMS and Champion collaborative clothing collection using heavy-duty industrial elements. The editorial was lensed by French photographer Romain Forquy with the help of stylist Charlotte Moss.

Given the simplistic design of the athletic streetwear, The Daily Street chose to feature the looks with a series of completely monochrome images. This works to show the minimalist structure of the designs in the collection -- with the editorial excluding color completely to reflect the lack of it in the pieces. The use of black and white photos also works to complement the quality of material in the clothing, allowing the movements of models to draw attention to it.

What's most interesting about The Daily Street editorial is its use of industrial items, with the series inviting subjects to stand atop cement blocks and massive rolls of plastic wrap.
