It’s no secret that technology has advanced by jumps and leaps in the past 100 years but with these ‘Then vs. Now’ technology infographics by Master of Art in Teaching Degrees, the advancements are clearer than ever before.

Just 70 years ago, overhead projectors were the biggest piece of technology to be employed in the classroom. By 1991, SMART boards were introduced to classrooms as a touch screen response to the overhead. 20 short years later and 1.5 million iPads were put into use in US schools. Teachers have begun to dispose of the traditional note-taking way of learning and using Apple products have begun to send presentations and projects to their students via technology.

The use of technology in schools will only continue to change, as these technology infographics demonstrate. Perhaps eventually school will be taught primarily using touchscreen gadgets.
