NĀ KOA Expands to 16 Pacific Tattoo Artists for Its 11th Year

NĀ KOA is marking 11 years by expanding the artist base behind its leather accessories to 16 tattoo artists from across the Pacific. The Hawaii-based brand began in 2015 with wallet designs from three artists, and the broader roster moves the line beyond its original men's wallet focus into a wider accessory offering.

Kuaika Quenga's 'Mano' shark motif appears on wallets, while Teva Lowy's 'Honu' sea turtle art brings Tahitian-rooted imagery to purses. NĀ KOA applies each tattoo by hand on premium leather, which helps keep the artwork durable without losing the feel of real leather.

The line sells through NĀ KOA's website, in Hawaii stores focused on Hawaiian and Pacific cultural goods and in mainland U.S. stores serving Pacific Islander communities. Art from 16 practicing tattoo artists turns everyday accessories into heritage-led purchases, not just patterned leather goods.
