Returning Italian E-Bikes

Tacita is Returning to 2024 Dakar with the 'Discanto' eBike

'Tacita,' a motorcycle manufacturer based in Turin, Italy, announced its return to the 2024 Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia with the 'Tacita Discanto,' the brands latest electric motorbike. This motorbike was designed to comply with rally racing rules, despite its fully electric motor, meaning that it will have a swappable battery that will take roughly the amount of time to swap that a gas motorcycle will take to refuel. Additionally, the bike's top speed will be deliberately limited to 150 km/hr.

Aside from this, while we are not told the full specifications for the bike, the company claimed it weighs 397lbs, it is equipped with a five-speed mechanical gearbox, and it features a dedicated battery management system. The bike is also equipped with more-than-adequate cooling for its motor and battery.
