Sustainable Denim Collections

TOPMAN's Japanese Selvedge Denim Collection Features Natural Dyes

TOPMAN's latest collection is a sustainable denim range that is created in partnership with Kurabo Mills. The Japanese selvedge denim manufacturer is one of the oldest in Japan and is a pioneer of eco-friendly manufacturing practices that have been adapted by major brands across the globe.

Kurabo's sustainable denim product features organic and natural indigo dyes that add to the resilience of one's jeans. When aged, these jeans and jackets boast faded and unique patterns over time and develop a vintage and raw-looking wash.

This TOPMAN selvedge denim collection aims to introduce the Japanese jean style to a diverse market of fast fashion consumers. As a response to past criticism over a lack of eco responsibility, fast fashion retailers have embraced organic materials and sustainable manufacturing practices in recent years.
