Heavy-Lifting Drones

The Megakopter Superdrone is Capable Of Lifting 134 Pounds of Weight

The Megakopter is a gargantuan and heavy-lifting superdrone that is capable of lifting up weights of 134.5 pounds of weight, allowing it to claim the Guinness World Record for the feat.

Conceived, designed and constructed by a group of engineering students at the University of Oslo in Norway, the Megakopter superdrone is actually a collection of eight smaller drones that are all held together securely with wood used in conjunction with a sturdy aluminum frame. The superdrone has 48 electric motors in all, that ensure that it stays aloft while its controller controls it remotely from the ground. It is fitted with four inflatable balls that ensure a soft landing.

The Megakopter could have a bunch of useful applications in military and humanitarian contexts, and could revolutionize the way we see drones.
