'NRG's' latest 'Sunbook' products are perfect for tech lovers who are looking for a greener way to charge their devices. Although there are a number of chargers and device docks on the market, NRG's new line helps consumers power their smartphones and tablets in a more energy-efficient way.
Both the Sunbook 7 and the Sunbook 14 were both premiered during CES 2016. The devices are designed for smartphones and tablets respectively and they each consist of individual solar kits that collect energy from the sun before storing it inside a battery pack. When the user needs to charge their smartphone or tablet, they simply pull out the battery pack and connect their device. Unlike other solar-powered chargers, these devices feature a user-friendly LED indicator that identifies when the panel has soaked up enough sunlight for a full charge. The indicator also lets the user know exactly where to place the panel for optimal sunlight exposure.
