Storyteller Overland Grand Bohemian is a camper conversion developed by Storyteller Overland using the INEOS Grenadier Trialmaster 4×4 platform. The vehicle adapts the off-road SUV into a compact expedition camper designed for remote travel. A pop-top roof creates an elevated sleeping area and provides standing room when opened. The conversion keeps the Grenadier’s body-on-frame construction, permanent four-wheel drive system, and off-road engineering while introducing integrated camping functions inside the vehicle.
The camper includes a 5.4-kilowatt-hour battery system paired with up to 400 watts of solar power and a 2,000-watt inverter. A hydronic system provides cabin heating and hot water. Water storage includes a 10.5-gallon freshwater tank and a 4-gallon greywater tank. Interior components include a compact galley, lounge seating, and sleeping space for two to three occupants.

Why This Trend Is Growing
- Electrified Off-grid Powerpacks
- Integration of mid-sized battery systems with onboard inverters and solar inputs creates opportunities for vehicles to function as autonomous mobile power hubs for multi-day expeditions.
- Modular Pop-top Living
- Compact elevating roofs combined with configurable interiors offer potential for adaptable micro-living modules that transform standard SUVs into full-service expedition dwellings.
- Integrated Hydronic Comfort Systems
- Built-in hydronic heating and hot-water loops in vehicle cabins present new possibilities for reliable, low-energy climate and sanitation solutions in cold-weather overlanding.
Industries Being Reshaped
- Automotive Manufacturing
- Body-on-frame 4×4 platforms and aftermarket conversion ecosystems could enable a new product category of factory-backed expedition-ready SUVs with integrated camper systems.
- Outdoor Recreation and RV
- Demand for compact, off-grid-capable campers suggests room for specialized rental fleets and subscription models tailored to remote-experience seekers.
- Renewable Energy and Storage
- Vehicle-integrated solar arrays paired with medium-capacity batteries create prospects for portable energy services and grid-islanding capabilities in mobile applications.
