Star Refrigeration has successfully expanded the cooling capacity at NewCold’s Corby cold storage facility. The upgrade introduced an additional 2,750 kW of ammonia-based refrigeration, split between the high and low bay sections. This new capability will enable the facility to accommodate 75,000 more pallets while maintaining temperatures at -22°C. Additionally, ammonia refrigeration is considered to be a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional refrigerants
