It's wonderful enough to work with a clothing press without the hassle of wires, so it's even more of a pleasant surprise to hear of the Squeeron Iron and its other impressive features. The cork-encased appliance is like nothing else on the market at the moment, boasting a modern look and environmentally friendly operation.
This domestic device would use about half of the energy of the usual plug-in electrical press. In eliminating the conventional power source from the picture, the object receives its warmth from induction stove elements which is apparently a much more efficient means of transferring heat.
Just like a standard fabric press, the Squeeron Iron by Daan Ballieu is assembled with a metal baseplate and a water reservoir for steam smoothing. The apparatus even comes with its own furled foam ironing board which can be laid on any flat surface.
