Microsoft Introduces the Speak for Me Feature to Aid Speech

This year marks the 14th Ability summit and during this, Microsoft unveils a special feature to its platform dubbed 'Speak for Me.' The brand highlights its progressive developments and collaborative projects that build to its portfolio of assistive technology. This also includes the AI-fueled audio description that helps developers with disabilities better create machine-learning applications.

The Seeing AI tool is also backed by more AI-generated descriptions with playbooks to follow. The Speak For Me feature is set to launch officially later this year, which is similar to Apple's Personal Voice. It is developed to help those with speech disabilties and ALS to rely on custom neural voices to communicate digitally. Microsoft notes, it is “committed to making sure this technology is used for good and plan to launch later in the year.”
