When Trend Hunter first spotted the Sorapot at the end of 2007, it was still a concept-only design. Since then, the unique, modern teapot has gone into production and been made available for purchase.
Making tea in the Sorapot is more like a live performance than food preparation. The architectural shape and simple function set the stage. The tea leaves swirl and turn mixing with water in the Pyrex body and creating beautiful colors and forms as they brew.
The Sorapot is available in brushed or stainless steel and ranges in price from about $200 to $275. Like a Meerschaum pipe, the teapot body will gain patina and color over time depending upon the type of tea and brewing practices used.
