The Smart Seat Belt concept has been proposed for installation in public transit vehicles, offering passengers the opportunity to power up their handset batteries as the text, make calls and consult maps.

JeongLan Park's idea is to merge road safety with technological convenience. It's large coaches that tend to include seatbelts already, so the invention would be best integrated in these sorts of long-distance shuttles. Essentially, the Smart Seat Belt device would include a band with your basic manual length adjustment system. The aluminum buckle, however, would integrate two chargeable USB ports, an LED power progress indicator and a digital display.
