Calm Added to Its 'Sleep Stories' with a Reading of the GDPR

Calm, a meditation app for stress relief and sleep, recently added to its Sleep Stories with a new non-fiction tale called 'Once Upon a GDPR.'

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) recently went into effect, introducing new regulations about privacy and personal data. As such, people have been receiving countless emails with updates in compliance with the new regulations.

Calm's Once Upon a GDPR is designed to let people fall peacefully asleep to the sounds of the updated policies. While the new data protection rules mark a milestone in the protection of individual privacy rights, the document itself promises to be quite boring. Once Upon a GDPR is a 40-minute snippet of the 107-page EU document, with Alex Tew Calm co-founder noting that the "GDPR could sedate a buffalo."
