The problem with Internet radio is, of course, that you can't listen to it on a radio because it is not broadcast on radio waves, so really its not radio at all.

The Slacker Portable solves that problem by caching the music on its flash memory and refreshing it whenever a WiFi connection is available.

The great thing about radio is that it exposes you to new music, so if your tired of the same old, the Slacker is a good alternative. It has a 4 inch screen that provides a good deal of background on the artists that are playing, as well as album art. '

As you listen, you can refine your preferences creating your own personal radio station with new artists that follow your taste. You can't do that on old fashioned radio.
